Form DQ: the information form for a foreign student's short-term visit

Form DQ is the abbreviated name of the "Information Form for Foreign Students' Short-term Visit" in the X2 row of the requirements and procedures page for Chinese visa applications, which the Embassy of the PRC in the United States updated in September 2025. The X2 row covers applicants who intend to study in China for no more than 180 days. The admission document that the same row requires is covered under Admission and documents.
Definition
The full name is "Information Form for Foreign Students' Short-term Visit". The embassy's X2 row prints "Form DQ" as the abbreviation in brackets after the full name, with the qualifier "if have".

The X2 row of the Embassy of the PRC in the United States reads:
X2: Issued to those who intend to study in China for a period of no more than 180 days. 1. Admission Notice issued by a school or other entities in China. 2. Information Form for Foreign Students' Short-term Visit (Form DQ, if have)

Article 7(11) reads, in its X2 part: "to apply for the X2 visa, the applicant shall, in accordance with relevant provisions, submit such certification documents as the admission notice issued by the admission institution".
The X2 row of the US embassy is that embassy's statement. The X2-Visa item of the UK embassy's page is that embassy's statement. Article 7(11) is a provision of the Regulations.
The US embassy's X2 row states the period of "no more than 180 days". The X2-Visa item of the UK embassy's page states no period.
